I’ve been listening to the new Wilco non-stop for the last few weeks. There are two songs I can’t get out of my head:
p=. I have no idea how this happens
all my maps have been overwrote
happenstance has changed my plans so many times
my heart has been outgrown
now everybody’s feeling all alone
can’t tell you who I am
when everybody’s feeling all alone
can’t tell you who I am
2. Either Way
p=. Maybe the sun will shine today
The clouds will blow away
Maybe I won’t feel so afraid
I will try to understand either way
p=. Maybe you still love me maybe you don’t
Either you will or you won’t
Maybe you just need some time alone
I will try to understand
Everything has its plan
Either way I’m going to stay right for you

On Friday night I saw Arcade Fire at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley. I was in a standing-room only area in the walkway around what you would call the orchestra section. This was about 30 ft from the stage.
The concert was terrific and was the best show I’ve been to since seeing Interpol 4-5 yrs ago. Arcade Fire really puts together an overwhelming sound with 10 musicians playing a variety of instruments at any time. I’m glad that I had the chance to see them live this time around.
