Last Friday I attended a presentation on Getting Things Done by the David Allen Group — and I’m already finding their recommendations useful. For example, by simply writing things down, breaking up tasks into ‘projects’, ‘actions’, and ‘someday’, and by reviewing the list weekly, I’m already spending less time trying to remember when things are due or what homework I’m supposed to focus on tonight.

I created my todo list in Toodledo which also has an iPhone app, providing me access to my list anywhere I would possibly need it. So far, I think their iPhone application is terrific, and the web interface is just okay. Which leads me to another thought…

It’s funny how I often prefer the more simplistic iPhone interface over the web interface for a lot of sites. I had this same reaction to Facebook on the iPhone . Maybe the design constraints of the iPhone force people to cut out the junk they would otherwise include in their application.
